Praise God

My dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  The blessed word that God has given you for today is from the book of Exodus 18:9 , “ Then Jethro Rejoiced for all the good which the Lord had done for Israel. Whom He had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians. ”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters from the above words we see how  Jethro  was  happy over all that the Lord had done for the people of Israel, and  Jethro said, “Blessed be the Lord who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of the Pharaoh. Jethro the man of God praised Him When he heard all about the doings of God. And Jethro said, “Blessed be the Lord who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of Pharaoh.” Jethro praised the Lord when he heard all the good things that happened to Israel in the midst of Egypt

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jethro was Moses’s uncle. He was delighted to hear about all the good things the Lord had done for Israel in rescuing them from the hand of the Egyptians. When Jethro heard that God provided Manna, the heavenly food from above, and also provided them with water to drink while they were thirsty and he turned the bitter water( waters of Marah ) into sweet water. He praised God . Moses actually met Jethro  His father in law after he received the Ten  Commandments,  from mount Sinai. Jethro was pleased to know how the people, of Israel, found favour in the sight of the Egyptians. For they borrowed gold, silver, and jewels, bringing them out of Egypt with a mighty hand. He was excited to know how God guided them as a pillar of cloud during the day. And as a pillar of fire during the night. How God divided the waters of the Red  Sea  for them to pass through dry ground. He gave them victory over the Amalakites.   One must realize that the joy of Jethro was not merely  on account of the goodness of God done to Moses just because he was married to his daughter Zipporah;  but because of the great things God had done for Israel,  God’s special and chosen people. The worshippers of the true and living God for whom   Jethro   had  an  affection. And therefore he rejoiced in their prosperity.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Just as Jethro was happy on hearing the good things which God had done for the people of Israel, in the land of Egypt, You also shall be happy to hear, all the good things that God is about to do  for you and your children.  God is good. He is good all the time. He will be good to you also.  You might have experienced hardship in your work spot or in your business. You might have faced a lot of loss   but God has turned your loss into gain and has brought peace at your work spot.  Therefore you need to rejoice in the Lord and praise Him all the days, of your life like Jethro.  God does not wish that you suffer   always. He wants to bring about a great change in your life situation.

For, just as God had prepared a land flowing with milk and honey for his people God wants to give you the best in life. He lifts the needy. He raises the poor from the ash heap to set them among princes. And makes them inherit the throne of glory. God exalts the horn of His anointed. He wants to bless you with grain, new wine and oil. This represents prosperity. God wants to make you prosperous.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for helping the people of  Israel with food and water. You guided them with your presence. Meet all our needs too. Guide us through this dry and scorched wilderness. Lead us to Oasis where we can rest near Elim and  drink of the waters of Oasis.  Help us to depend upon you O Lord. May we rejoice in you and praise you all the days of our life.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God will do a new thing

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth. Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and Rivers in the desert.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that God wants to do something new in your life. God promises to do something that has not occurred, some unheard of and wonderful, event. That shall far surpass, all that he had formerly done.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God says, that it shall spring up as  the grass  does from the earth. Or it shall bud forth like the opening leaves or flowers. This denotes the manner in which the events of divine providence come to pass. God says, “I will even make a way in the wilderness.” By this the prophet describes the care which God would show, in protecting His people and providing for them in conducting them to their promised land. While they were walking through the dry desert, the poor and needy sought for water, but there was none to provide. Their tongues failed out of thirst. God heard them. He did not forsake them. He provided them water from the rock. God says, “I will open rivers in desolate heights and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water. And the dry land a springs of water. ”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, not only did God provide them water in the wilderness, but He also provided them with Manna,   food from heaven. He gave them during the forty years, of their travel in the wilderness. Secondly he provided quails in the evenings for the people to gather, as they wanted meat for their food. These are the new things that God provided them while they travelled through the desert.

God says, that he did all these things that they might know, that the hand of the Lord had done this. And the holy one of Israel has created it. Thus all the former things which He had foretold had come to pass and by this He proves that He alone was God. He had foretold all the events through the prophets, to His people, which had all been fulfilled. Hence the wilderness and the wasteland shall   be glad for them.  And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice. Even with joy and singing. They shall see the glory of God.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Our God is a God of wonders. He does wonders beyond numbers. Just as God performed many new things for the people of Israel, in the wilderness, God wants to do new things in your life. He wants to set right all that is crooked in your life. He wants to uplift the status of your life. All these years, you might not have been able to succeed in your life. He has seen all your hardships all these years.  But God wants to put a stop to all your misery and lift you up. He has turned His face towards you. He wants to bless you with a good job, a good family. He wants to prosper your business and increase your investments.  He always desires to bless the work of your hands. So cheer up. Await a miracle to happen in your life. God bless you.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Thank You Lord for seeing our   sorrow and our poor state of life.  Thank you for causing your face to shine upon us. Make us to understand your goodness towards us. And help us to do well in our life and be successful in all the efforts that we take.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Put your confidence in God

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Psalms 118:8, 9, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence, in man. It is better to put your trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that, we need to put our confidence in God rather than man or princes.  It is better in all ways, to trust in the Lord rather than man, for it is wiser.   It is much safer to trust in God. For God is more likely to help, than man. And therefore it is better to put our confidence in God rather than man.  If we rely upon mortal man, our confidence in him will be futile, but we are always secure in the hands of our God. If we trust in man it tends to make us mean and dependent but confidence in God elevates, produces a sacred quiet of spirit and sanctifies the soul. The Bible says, it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. For princes are but men and the best of men are poor creatures. In many troubles they cannot help us in the least degree for instance in sickness, bereavement, or death neither can they assist us in reference to our eternal state.

Our God is one who fills the empty space of your life. The Bible says, No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. You must therefore   set your faith upon the Lord. The only remedy to heal your children is to have   strong   faith   in God. The only person whom you can believe is Jesus Christ.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,   It is better to put your trust in the Lord than to put your confidence in man or princes. So today you bring all your problems before the Lord. Be it your husband or that of your children. Bring it to the Lord, for He cares for you. When you bring your problem before the Lord then it becomes the burden of the Lord. It becomes his responsibility to heal or to bring deliverance to your children.  A   mother once told me of how her son had been caught up in a critical situation and only when the Lord intervened the Lord solved his entire problem. God who removes the kings,   and raises up new kings and appoints judges   in favour of His children completely changed his situation and now he is a great blessing and is currently the back bone of our ministry.  Halleluiah!  Therefore cast your entire burden upon the Lord for He will sustain you. Submit yourselves in the mighty hand of the Lord and He will exalt you in due season. God Bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Help my children to cast their burden upon you and trust for your provision. You are able to exalt any one and I pray that you will exalt my children who are yearning for a blessing in their lives. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Move Forward

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Isaiah 43: 18, “Do not remember the former things. Nor consider the things of old.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that God does not want the people of Israel to remember the former things. Although their former deliverance out of Egypt was the most glorious work, which they ought to remember always and consider. But God did not want them to remember their captivity in Babylon for nearly seventy years.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the Babylonian exile was a period in the history of ancient Israel.  The Babylonian captivity and the seventy year captivity of the Jews have become important in the Jewish History. The majority of the Jewish people were eventually exiled to Babylon. And were kept in  captivity there for a number of decades.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God does not want His people to remember their captivity, pain agony, and also their tribulation that they endured during the period of Exile. God is telling prophet Isaiah “Do not call to mind the former things  or ponder things of the past. He is literally saying that we are to receive God’s forgiveness.   And look ahead to our future.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, We all have a past and some things are not, so good. Therefore we need to ask God for forgiveness, learn from our past mistakes and make amends if at all possible with the one we hurt and look forward to the new things the Lord will do in our lives. The Bible shows how God used the least likely people to do some of the most amazing things for Him. If God used people like king  David,  who was an ordinary shepherd boy, why not us?

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jesus died on the cross for you and me. And once we believe Him as our saviour, we are new creatures, in Him. Apostle   Paul says, “I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. ”

Therefore My Dear Brothers and Sisters, fix your eyes on Jesus the author   and   finisher of   our faith. May God help you to release all your past memories, that keep worrying or troubling you and disturbs your peace, and harmony.

God does not, want you to go through life, looking in the rear view mirror. It’s time for you to look ahead and focus on what is before us. God wants to do a new thing in our lives.  He wants us to rise up to our full potential in Him. The Lord has called us to do mighty things, for He will make a road way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Therefore we need to keep on moving forward. It is only in moving forward that we accomplish what God has called us   to do.  We cannot stay where we are, nor can we go backward. The only direction we can go is forward. So let’s move on and keep our eyes focused on God and grow. God bless  you.

Prayer:  Our loving  heavenly  Father, we thank you for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for reminding us that we should not remember the past and brood over the bad happenings, but move on forward. Help us to be focused on the goals that is set before us. Make us to realize the responsibility that God has given for  us and thus fulfil the plan and purpose of God in our lives.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

Prosperity in His presence

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 44:4, “They will spring up like grass in a meadowlike poplar trees by flowing streams”. Have you noticed the plants that grow by the waters? The get nourished by the nutrients and they grow with full strength. They never go dry. Likewise, God will nurture and bless you. He will cause you to prosper and be a blessing to many.

When you obey the word of God and follow His commandments, you will be blessed and will flourish in all that you do. The Lord will cloth you with the garment of righteousness and you will excel in life for the glory of God. Your life will be prosperous just like the plants that grow at the side of the waters.

In order to have a prosperous life, you need to have a close communion with the Lord. God says in the book of Revelations 3:16, “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth”. The word Lukewarm means, something that is neither cold nor hot. A Lukewarm person will not have a close connection with the Lord. When you do not have a close fellowship with the Lord, you may tend to go away from His presence.  You need to be like the plant at the waterside, giving fruits in its season. When you stay in close fellowship with the Lord, you will experience His divine protection and His peace. You will be prosperous all the days of your life.

Have a close fellowship with the Lord. He will perform miracles in your life. Always have a practice of thanking the Lord in all your situations. The Lord will bless you abundantly.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. I submit these dear children into Your loving hands Lord Jesus. Isaiah 44:3 says, “I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring.” Thank You Lord for You are going to pour out Your spirit upon them. May You forgive them the days when they went away from You Lord. I pray that You may draw them closer to You by Your loving Kindness. May You fulfill the desires of their heart and prosper them in every aspect of their lives. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen.
