DO GOOD

I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has kept for you today is from the book of Proverbs 3:27 “Do not withhold what is good from those to whom it is due when   it   is   in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbour, “Come back later; I’ll give it tomorrow”– when you now have it with you.”

From the above verse we come to understand that we should do justice to those who deserve it while we have the power to execute it.  When one comes  to you in need of help  you should never say  to him,  go home  come tomorrow   and send him away when you have with you,  what he is in need of. It may be money or some food stuff, or some urgent requirement. What is the use of helping those who are rich and have full.    And Jesus said to his disciples, Render therefore to Caesar the things which be Caesar’s, and to God the things which be God’s. Pay everyone what you owe him: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honour to whom honour is due. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith. Woe to those who devise iniquity and plot evil on their beds! At morning’s light they accomplish it because the power is in their hands.

One day Jesus was teaching in the synagogue, on a Sabbath day. There was a woman who had been crippled by a spirit, for eighteen long years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.  When Jesus saw her He called her forward, and said to her, “Woman you are set free from your infirmity.” Then He put His hand on her and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Jesus wanted to bless her instantly as He considered her as the daughter of Abraham and needed to be blessed. “After this Jesus went up to Jerusalem. There in Jerusalem, there was a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.  For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.  Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.  When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”  And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day   was the Sabbath. Jesus relieved the lame man instantly with His   power. He was a God of authority.  Jesus never considered whether it was a Sabbath day or not. He went on doing good for the people around wherever He went.

Jesus was a God of compassion. No one could stop Him from doing good. Jesus never postponed   what He wanted to do for the people. “Jesus and his disciples entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them. Peter’s mother-in-law was healed totally. She required no convalescence. Jesus had infused her to full strength enabling her to minister and serve the household, probably preparing a meal for them. God cares for us and He will deliver us when we are in trouble.

Prayer:   Our   loving    heavenly Father,   we    thank You for this blessed day.  Father God, we thank You for teaching us to help others any time, any day possible and not to postpone helping others. Thank You Lord for showing to us through this message how you went about doing good. The scribes and Pharisees were trying to find fault with You, yet you continued to help people whom You came across. Use us also to be of some help to others while it is possible.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

GOD WILL ARISE FOR YOU

I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has kept for you today is from the book of Psalms 12:5, “For The oppression of the poor for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise says the Lord. I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”

From the above passage we understand that God is ever willing to arise for the poor and those who are oppressed. He knows what it is to be poor and the trouble one goes through his life, if they are poor, since Jesus Himself was a poor carpenter’s son.  He knows their toil and the sorrows they go through.  How the world looks at them and the kind of struggles one has to go through being poor. God assures that He will set him in safety from the hands of the evil doers. God says, “I will come in the midst of you who are poor and needy and downtrodden.”  When one is poor and needy he will be filled with sorrow and pain. He will be longing for someone to help him. The Bible says, “The lamentation of the poor is being heard by the Father in Heaven.”

Since our God is a God of compassion, He has come in the midst of you to change your poverty state of life,   into a life filled with joy and gladness. He wants to change your sorrow into joy. He wants to wipe your tears.  And cause you to be successful and victorious. God will send His angels to attend on you. Usually people cry out loudly when they go through trouble. The Bible says, “This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all this troubles. We actually do not know why he cried. All we know is that he was poor. He could have cried because of his pain due to disease, or he might have been hurt  or he might  have been ridiculed  by someone,  or he must be badly in need of some help. So he must have cried out. But the joy is that God heard his cry and saved him, not from one of his troubles, but all his troubles.  Halleluiah!

We see Job,  a man of sorrow. He was afflicted. He was in great distress and we read that Job lamented over his circumstances. Any one for that matter will lament while he goes through bitter sorrow. God says, He will rebuild the ruined state of your life. The ruined future of your children. One of your relative whom you trusted,   could have turned your own child,  ( daughter or son)  to come  against you. Therefore you are so broken in heart. You are unable to get the love of your children. For whose cause you had laboured so much to give them the best. Now you feel so cheated. God knows your pain and agony. Such children could have wrongly been trapped   by your relative and now your children are unable to release themselves from their hold. That is why the Lord is saying, “ I will arise to deliver your children from the hands of your enemy. David himself says, He delivers me from mine enemies: yea, thou lifts me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. God hears not only the cry of the poor but also the   sighing, of the needy. Sometimes when things don’t happen the way we expect and causes big distress or disturbance in our minds, then we release a huge sigh with intense pain, from our heart. You may not know how to overcome this grief or sorrow. You might have invested money in your business but because of Corona, you could not see any gain. You could not even get back the money you invested. So you are broken in heart.  You might give a deep sigh   of regret and sorrow. God is directly about to deal with your problem. He will deliver you from this situation, and help you to overcome your difficulty.

To those of you who are reading this message with a broken heart and with much distress, I  would like to tell you that,  Your calculations to come up in life,  may be wrong, your business might have been at a  loss, all your effort to do well in life,  might have gone wrong, due to various reasons. No one, whom you considered would help you, came forward to assist you in your endeavour. In such occasion all you need to do is to look up to the Lord and say, “Hear O Lord, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. Do not hide Your face from me. Do not leave me nor forsake me. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries.”The Bible says, “God’s ears are open to the cry of the poor. The eyes of the Lord are upon those who fear Him.”The Lord will not leave you who are poor and needy to be afflicted by your enemies. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Your own people may be roaring like enemies because of jealousy, God will surely save you from the hands of such cruel and wretched people. God will arise since you have called on His name, and He will renew the poor state of your life. He will send help from above. And allow you to settle peacefully. Just as God delivered the people of Israel, from the cruel hands of the Egyptians, God will deliver you from those who oppress you and help you to live in peace and harmony. God Bless you.

Prayer:   Our   loving    heavenly Father,   we    thank You for this blessed day.  Father God, we thank You for comforting us through this message. In sorrow and distress be our consolation.  Help us to call upon Your Name which is above all other names. Keep us from being trapped by our own relatives who at times emerge as our rivals. Protect our children and our family from the hands of such wicked and cruel people, when they oppress us. Never neglect us O Lord. Help us to say, “If God Is for Us Who Can Be Against Us.”Lord    Increase our faith in You.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

THE LOVE OF A FATHER

I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has kept for you today is from the book of  Deuteronomy 1:31, “ And in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.”

From the above verse we learn that Moses led the people of Israel in the wilderness.  He  tells the children of Israel to remember how the Lord God had, carried them in the midst of affliction, through the wilderness, like a father who carries his son on his shoulders. Until they almost reached the land of Canaan.

We speak about our heavenly father. Saying, “For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in His name, he should not perish but have everlasting life.” God the Father gave His only Begotten son. This is the love of our heavenly Father. God spent five days in creating all the beautiful things in the world. He made the light and darkness. He made the animals and birds. The fish of the sea, and all flying things. And found it all good. On the sixth day God created man in his own image. Through his own hands he made man out of clay, in his own image and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. So  he became man. The first man Adam. Many would think, As to  why did God make man on the sixth day if, He loved man so much. Yes,  He wanted  his new creation man to enjoy all that He had created , the plants and trees with all its fruits and vegetables. Man should not lack anything. So after creating all the necessary things for man He created man on the sixth day. And told him to enjoy and have authority over everything that God had created for him. This shows the love of our heavenly father. But because of his sin he lost all the glory and authority he enjoyed, that was granted to him by God the Father.

I wish to remind you all about that love of the Father on this day. That Love has been given to each one of us through our earthly father, who can be seen with our own eyes. Some of you may have lost your father few months back or may be many years back. Yet we can always remember the love of our fathers. We need to thank God for our earthly father. The mother carries her child in her womb for ten long months and then brings forth the baby. The mother’s love is beyond expression. The nurse hands over the baby to the father, who eagerly waits to see his child. Every one rejoices over the new born baby.  From then on the father takes care of his child, until he is fully grown and is capable of living his life by himself. I still remember my father

carrying me on his shoulder   all the way to school. I used to feel very proud, to sit over his shoulder, and go about. Even while crossing the canal flowing with water he used to cross over carrying me over his shoulder. It was a great joy to me. Usually the mother carries her child on her hip or embraces the child on her shoulder.  But the father carries his child on his shoulder.  A father might be strict and may even beat his child only to correct him and not because he dislikes his child.

I know of a father who was an auto driver. He worked all the day and during the night and he overworked as a security guard either in an ATM centre or in a company. He said his income was insufficient to educate his daughters as an auto driver. So he goes to work in the night. He does not have proper sleep. So the father loses his sleep and every pleasure in his life in order to bring up their children. To   meet    all their needs, to     give  them the best in life. He works so hard. Therefore you must realize that the father always remembers his child and does all his best to fulfil all   the desires of his child.  Therefore you need to love your fathers, respect them for what they are and also understand their feelings, and their sacrificial life they lead to give you the best they could. May this message speak the values of a father and remind the mothers’ and the children if any of you reading this message and have neglected your father for various reasons, try and mend your relationship with your fathers. It is no use of crying after you lose them but honour them and love them as much as you can, while they are available.   Make him happy and keep him proud through your love and affection and your achievements.  God Bless you.

Prayer:   Our   loving    heavenly Father,   we    thank You for this blessed day.  Father God, we thank You for giving us good fathers. Teach us to love them as You loved us and gave your only begotten son Jesus for us. Help us to honour them and respect them and appreciate everything they do for us. Help us to understand them better and enjoy every moment of our life with them even though they grow old and weary. Make us to be proud about them. Bless them Lord with all the earthly and heavenly Blessings.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

FRUIT OF THE LABOUR

I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings” (Isaiah 3:10).

It is a reasonable desire that the labour of your hands – your business, your job, your ministry should flourish. Our Lord also desires the exact same thing. But when you look at your past experiences you realise what you have gone through is the exact opposite of this. You are longing, “Will there be a change at least from this year? “Change has come.  First, make the change that God expects within you. God will most certainly grant the change that you desire in your life. The Bible says:

“The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow” (Deuteronomy 28:12).

We are filled with hope and happiness when we read this verse. For the corona pandemic and lockdown have increased the staggering burden of your debt, making your life a struggle. But the Bible says:

“Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, The years in which we have seen evil” (Psalm 90:15). This is the promise that we have. Your hope and expectation will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18).  God will command innovative developments in your business, fresh progress in your jobs, new expansions in your ministry. Some of you are under severe mental stress due to the enormity of your debts. Many have been let-down by people or have become a victim of fraud, having signed surety for others.  Some of you are distraught as you are yet to receive the money which people owed you. God is watching everything, and He will give you victory over all your predicaments. All your losses will be reversed.

“Surely I will no longer give your grain as food for your enemies; And the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine, for which you have laboured” (Isaiah 62:8).

According to this verse, God will open ways for you to redeem and enjoy the fruit of your labour that is trapped with outsiders.  The only thing that you must do is to commit yourself to integrous living. Imbibe the qualities of a righteous person. Our God will do magnificent things!

Mr Ratnam Paul from villivalkkam shared the following testimony in “Anbarin Paathathil Orunaal” fasting meeting held in July 2018. He was working in a distinguished position at a corporate company. As he desired to start a business venture, he resigned from his lucrative job. But he incurred heavy loss in his business due to which his debts increased, and he was in utter misery. As his relatives started distancing themselves from him, he started coming closer to God. He confessed all his sins and earnestly tarried in prayer for his current scenario to be changed.

One day while he was traveling on his bike, some chemicals fell on his left eye. Covering this eye with a cloth, he came to me for prayer. He panicked if he would lose his eyesight.  During prayer God revealed this mangala vaarthai, “God will give perfect healing to your eyes in a month’s time. All your problems will be solved quickly.  Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time”. In the same way, God restored his eyesight the next month.  But his other struggles continued for another eleven months. I fervently interceded with Lord for him when he came for the “Anbarin Paathathil Orunaal” fasting meeting held in May 2019.  God revealed during prayer, “I am opening new doors for you”.  According to this mangala vaarthai, he secured a senior position in a corporate company with a remuneration of 1 lakh per month. His business was bought by another company for a substantial amount, which enabled him to pay back his loan. Hallelujah. This miracle can happen for you. Yes, the righteous will enjoy the fruit of their labour.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  Lord we thank you for encouraging us with your word.  That if we wait patiently on you, You will give us back all that we have lost in life.  Bless us with your divine wisdom to lead our life successfully. Bless the works of our hands.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God’s Goodness

I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has kept for you today is from the book of Psalms 107:35-37 ,“He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs; there he brought the hungry to live, and they founded a city.”

From the above passage we learn that, God turns  the wilderness into a standing water which means that God  does his work of mercy, for a deep lake is seen,  where before there was only a sandy waste. It is not by natural laws, working by some innate force, that this wonder is wrought, but by God Himself. HE TURNS through His Power. And dry ground into water springs. Continuance, abundance, and perpetual freshness are all implied in water springs, and these are created where all was once dry and deserted.   This wonder of mercy is the precise reversal of the work of God for His children and wrought by the self-same hand. And in each individual,   the mercy of the Lord soon works wonderful changes.  O that we might see this verse fulfilled in all around us, and within our own hearts as stated by the Psalmist.

God’s providence is illustriously displayed in His influence on two great elements of human prosperity, the earth’s productiveness and the powers of government. He punishes the wicked by destroying the sources of fertility, or, in mercy, gives fruitfulness to deserts, which become the homes of a busy and successful agricultural population.  The people sow the fields, and plant vineyards cultivate the earth. The culture of the vine was an important feature in agriculture in Palestine, during Ancient times. So these  fields yield   fruits of increase; and  all sorts of grain for food, and the vineyards wine for drink.

The Bible says, many surprising changes are often made in the affairs of men!    If we look abroad in the world, we see many increase greatly whose beginning was once small. We see many who have thus suddenly risen, as suddenly brought to nothing. Worldly wealth is uncertain; often those who are filled with it, lose it again. The righteous shall rejoice. When sinners see how justly God takes away the gifts they have abused, they will not have a word to say. It is of great use to us to be fully assured of God’s goodness so that we may be benefited by it.  A truly wise person will treasure in his heart this delightful   psalm. From it, he will fully understand the weakness and wretchedness of man, and the power and loving-kindness of God.

In a spiritual sense the “fields” are the world, and the seed which is sown is the word of God,   the persons that sow it are the ministers of the Gospel, which, by a divine blessing, brings forth fruit, in some thirty, some sixty, and some an hundred fold: the “vineyards” are the churches, planted by Christ and by his ministers. So the seed of the word being sown, and churches planted, they increase with the increase of God, and bring forth fruits of righteousness to the glory of His name.

Are you fertile for the Lord to sow His seed and bring forth fruit in its season?   Or do you possess a dry and parched land. Where crops cannot grow and   trees cannot yield fruits?   God wants to spring forth water in your parched life.   I earnestly wish to encourage those of you who are reading this message with great concern that;   you have been going through dry and rough path of life. God wants to create a fertile and greenery in your life by causing the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs. Once you begin to flourish then He will make the hungry to live and finally help you to establish a city for yourself.  May be you have been a failure until this day. Everything you did became a failure. But hereafter God is opening new avenues to reconstruct your ruined life. God is going to help you regain all that you have lost in your life. He will teach you how to get profit in your business, how to rise at your work spot, how to increase in all the work of your hand. So long you did not get your citizenship abroad. But soon you will obtain it. God says, “Commit your ways unto the Lord trust also in Him, and He will make it to pass.” You will shine and bloom in the future. God bless you.

Prayer:   Our   loving    heavenly Father,   we    thank You for this blessed day.  Father God, thank You for telling us to be more truthful in our daily life. Because we see someone suddenly rise up in life and some slide down suddenly in life because of their foolishness and because of their faithlessness in God.  Teach us to be wise and alert in every step we take. May we depend upon God who causes the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs; So that we may  sow seeds in our fertile land and bring forth fruit in due season. Lord please cause the righteous to rejoice in You.

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
