My dearly beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today’s word of God for you is taken from the book of Psalm 34:18
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves such as have a contrite spirit.”
Have you begun this month with a lot of heartache and problems? Let us meditate from the below verse, how God is going to bless and gladden your hearts this month.
“And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” (Matthew 8:2-4).
We read in the Bible that those afflicted with leprosy will be ostracized by society. Their dwelling shall be outside the camp. Their clothes shall be torn and head bare; and they shall cover their mustache, and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ so that no one would come across them even by mistake. All the days they have the sore they shall be unclean. (Leviticus 13:44,45).
Let us meditate how Jesus healed one such leper:
1) The leper was ostracized by society:
This leper who was ostracized and isolated by the people had an unshakeable faith that if Jesus would touch him, he would be healed instantly. Imagine the obstacles he must have faced. The crowd must have placed strict boundaries around Jesus, so he was not able to come near Him. But he believed in the promise “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27). He firmly believed that if he met Jesus, he would be healed.
Young man/ woman have you been shunned and ignored by all? Do not be worried this month God will come in search of you and do a miracle for you. All you must do is submit your lives to God. He is ready to forgive you of all your sins, sanctify and accept you (Proverbs 28:13). If you are suffering from a sickness, He will heal and deliver you (Jeremiah 33:6). Do not be worried.
2) The leper believed in Jesus:
This leper though he was shunned by the society had an unshakeable faith on God. He looked beyond all the hurdles that came his way and put his trust on God. The Bible says if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move (Matthew 17:20). The leper believed his healing would come from God.
Beloved brother/sister what is your state today? Have you backslidden because you lived a wayward life in your youth? Are you deep in sin forgetting that your education, job, and future is in God’s hands? Today, God will do a miracle for you. He is going to bring an end to your backslidden life and prosper and bless your life. Hold tightly to Him!
3) The leper worshipped God:
The ostracised leper crossed many hurdles before he met Jesus. But when he met Jesus the first thing, he did was worship Jesus and not ask for healing. He confessed with faith, “Lord if it is your will heal me, because I know you can.” The leper was healed instantly. Jesus further instructed him to show himself to the priest and give the required offering as instructed by Moses. When you look at this incident in the spiritual context, many young people nowadays are trapped by Satan, blinded, and caught in secret sins. The same Jesus who said, “Be healed for it is my will” will heal and deliver them from secret sins and curses. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7).
Perhaps Satan has drawn a fence to stop you from approaching God. Remember, we can go to Jesus anytime, anywhere as there is no restriction. Whatever be the sin we have committed, we can approach Him and look at His face, He will cause His face to shine upon us. And will pity you as a father pities His children. So, submit yourselves wholeheartedly to Jesus and when you worship Him like the leper wholeheartedly, He will cleanse and strengthen you as He did to the leper. He will sanctify and strengthen you and do a miracle for you. Will you join me in prayer!
Prayer: Father, we thank you for this day. Lord when the leper came in search of you, you said, “Be healed for it is my will”, in the same way sanctify and deliver these young people trapped in sin and curse. Help them to live lives pleasing in your sight and thereby be a testimony. Break all their sinful chains and bring them out of darkness into light. May their lives be prosperous and blessed. In Jesus name. Amen.
Psalms 147:6, “The Lord lifts up the humble.”
My dearly beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you all in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The auspicious word of God that comes to you is taken from the book of Psalms 147:6, “The Lord lifts up the humble.”
God says in this verse, that God lifts up those who are humble in nature. Many people desire to move forward in life, they wish to be lifted up and grow well in life day by day. For this purpose, you need to be humble in nature. If you are humble before God and man then God will lift you up in your status. So, in case you are rude and rough in nature, and very short-tempered, then you need to learn to be humble. Such children need to submit themselves before God and you need to mend your behaviour.
In the Bible, while referring to Moses God speaks about him as a meek and humble person. Now Moses was a very humble man, more than any man on the face of the earth. He was meek in my house, says the Lord. God had entrusted lakhs of people in the hands of Moses, to lead them to the land of Canaan. It is this meek nature of Moses that helped him to deliver the people of Israel from the cruel hands of the Egyptians. He was a capable leader even though they were stiff-necked people. They often murmured against God and Moses. Yet he was humble enough to pray and plead for their cause. God knew his good nature so He chose Moses to lead the people of Israel to the land flowing with milk and honey.
We can see another incident in the Bible, Mordecai was at the palace gate. Haman was troubling him again and again but he went on forward in life. He reached the peak of success, because He was honest, faithful and humble in nature. Even though he was rebuked and despised before others he bore everything patiently. Therefore God lifted him up and he was honoured by king Ahasuerus. Similarly, God will lift you. So today if you desire to move forward and excel in your life, in your studies, in your job, at your work spot, in your business and even in your ministry. Why even in your family life you need to acquire the nature of humbleness. Then God will lift you up.
Prayer: Lord, I thank you for lifting my children higher and higher and causing them to excel in all phases of their life. Some children feel that they are in the same position as before and there is no progress in their life. In case they are saying that they are unable to go forward, or achieve anything in life, for such kind of children, I pray that the hand of the Lord be stretched upon them. May the Lord bless them. Expand the borders of their territory. Let your hand be upon them . Let no harm or disease attack them. Keep them far from debts and sorrow. Let no evil befall them, protect them and preserve them.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Mark 10:16, “And He took them up in His arms, put His hands upon them, and blessed them.”
From the above context we learn that 2000 years ago while Jesus was going about preaching the Gospel of God, Some parents or nurses brought little children to Christ, that He should touch them, and bless them. Not because they needed bodily cures, but these parents and nurses, believed that Christ’s blessing would do their souls good; therefore they brought them to Him. Jesus ordered that they should be brought to Him, and that nothing should hinder them from coming to Him. Children should be directed to Jesus as soon as they are able to understand His words. Also, Jesus expected that we must receive the kingdom of God as little children.
Jesus took the little children up in his arms – and blessed them – Prayed for them, sought a blessing on them, or gave them the assurance of his favour as the Messiah. How happy would it be if all parents thus felt it to be their privilege to present their children to Christ! We see that a parent with right feelings will come to God with his children “in every way,” and seek his blessing on them in the beginning of their journey of life. Our children are given to us but for a little time. They are in a world of danger, sin, and woe. They are exposed to temptation on every hand.
If Jesus is not their friend, they “have” no friend who could help them in the day of adversity, or keep them from the snares of the destroyer. If Jesus is their friend they have nothing to fear. Therefore the duty of parental feeling,” is to train them in Godly love. He should seek God’s favour as the best inheritance of his children. With proper feelings he will rush to the throne of grace, and daily seek the protection and guidance of God for his children amid the temptations and snares of an ungodly world, and implore God to be their guide in this wicked world.
So children who have been devoted to God – because of their father’s prayers and their mother’s tears should never forget that their parent sought the favour of God as the chief blessing for them, and their great aim must be to live for Jesus, in the latter years of their life. Now a days, we see that there is no certainty that children are safe in the society. We need to keep a continuous watch over our children. But as Children of God we should, “Train up a child, in the way he should go, And when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Further we read in the Bible that, “All our children shall be taught by the Lord. And great shall be the peace of our children.” Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him. “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. You should tell your children, “Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck. May God help you to bring up your children in the fear of the Lord. God Bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, thank you for teaching us that we need to bring up our children in the fear of God. Help us to teach (the word of God) diligently to our children and talk of them when we sit in our house, and when we walk by the way, and when we lie down, and when we rise. Lord we thank You for blessing our children with knowledge, intelligence, wisdom and understanding.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen
I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Psalms 16: 5, 6 “You O lord are the portion of my inheritance, and my cup. You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes I have a good inheritance.’’
From the above passage we see how Jesus turns to God with great confidence and bounding joy. He delighted in God the Father, even while he was in his sorest sorrows; He still laid hold of His Father. Although He was tempted yet He never stooped to worship the prince of this world.
Similarly we too can make our boast in the Lord. He is our portion supplying all our necessities for our life on this earth and in the life to come. As children of the Father, who is in heaven, we inherit, by virtue of our joint heir ship with Jesus.
In this psalm we see, that David, flees to God’s protection with cheerful, believing confidence. Those who have avowed that the God is their Lord should often live up to it. You must devote yourself to the honour of God in the service of the saints. We need to be saints on earth in order to be saints in heaven. Those who have been renewed by the grace of God and devoted to the glory of God are saints on the earth. Our God is great and greatly to be praised. Shulamite in Songs of Solomon, says, “’My beloved is handsome, yes pleasant. He is ruddy and white. Chief among ten thousand.”’ So great is our God.
Can such a great God give his children that which is worthless. The Lord, who is great will always, be of great value. There is a saying that goes on to say, “’ Tell me your friend and I will tell you who you are”’ the more you get acquainted with a person; you tend to inherit all his qualities or his nature. You will soon become more like him. For you will begin to reflect his qualities.
Today you are looking out to that great God, who will give you the best. When you consider God as your inheritance and think of all the good things that God has provided for you, then you will be blessed without any doubt. Make God your treasure. It is He who gives you all that you need from His store house. There is nothing more to lose in life if you have received the Lord Jesus as your saviour and Lord of your life. For He is the maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. It doesn’t matter what you lose or how much you lose but if you store Jesus within you, then God almighty will rule your hearts and mind. The Bible says, “’You should seek the Lord in the hope, that they might feel for him and find Him Though He is not far from each one of us.” If only you seek him you will find him.” For you can do nothing without God.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord helps us to take hold of God at all times. May we acquire the qualities of Jesus. Be more humble, more righteous and also, longsuffering. Let the Lord be the portion, and inheritance of our life. Teach us to seek the Lord while He may be found. May we receive the best from God who is great and awesome in Nature.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
Dearly Beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Daniel 10:19 , “And he said, ‘O man greatly beloved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.’ And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, ‘Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”
From the above context we learn that the angel Gabriel spoke to Daniel addressing him as “Greatly Beloved.” Peace be unto thee; all prosperity of body and soul; inward peace of mind, a freedom from all hurry of thought, and commotion of the passions, and eternal peace and joy in the world to come: The Angel told Daniel not to fear, as He is the Beloved of the Lord. Not to fear men or devils. The Angel encouraged Daniel in his times of trial to be strong, “; Yea, be strong; take heart, pull up the spirits, be of good courage, be strong in the Lord, and in his grace, and fear nothing: “ and Daniel says, “ When the Angel had spoken unto me, I was strengthened: divine power going along with his word; the prophet found his bodily strength renewed, his spirits revived, his heart cheerful, and his soul comforted, and all fear and dread removed from him; which was owing to the energy of divine grace; for otherwise not only men, but angels too, would speak in vain:
Daniel, having been strengthened, by the Angel, asked Him to continue speaking. for the Angel had strengthened him. Daniel was able to bear the sight of Him, support in his presence, and hear his words, and take in what He said, which before he was unfit for; so an Angel may be an instrument of strengthening a saint, a prophet, and even our Lord Jesus Christ himself as man. So today, I pray earnestly that an Angel would comfort you as He had comforted Daniel. Dear children of God, there are many names given to our Lord Jesus Christ. “Many years ago before the birth of Jesus, Prophet Isaiah had mentioned several names in his book. And one of them was “Prince Of Peace.”That Prince of peace has come down directly to give you His peace. The Psalmist says, The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. So you shall receive double blessing today. Both strength and peace.
In whichever area you have lost your peace due to financial crisis, or lack of securing a good job, or because of marital problem or because your wife has deserted you, or maybe you are suffering from some kind of disease, or maybe you are caught up in huge debts and wondering as to how you could come out of it, God is looking at you and saying He will perform a miracle for you in the area where you lost your peace. God will establish peace into your heart. The Lord Jesus Christ, before his death called all His disciples and told them not to be perturbed because of His death on the cross, but that they should remain in peace. He admonished them not to fret and fear. He said to them, “Peace I leave with you, My peace, I give unto you: not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” God is assuring the same peace to you also. So be cheerful. God Bless You.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Dear Lord, we thank you for sending the angel Gabriel, to comfort Daniel during his trial period. Thank You Father, for strengthening him through the angel. We also suffer from want of peace. Please send your angels and comfort us through You word. Strengthen us and bless us with peace, that we may live a happy and content life.
In Jesus Name We Pray.
Amen.
