During His days on the earth, Jesus went about doing good to others. Similarly, we at God’s Love Ministries are planning to support the poor and the needy people in the society. To feed the hungry, to help educate the needy, and offer vocational education courses –are some of the objectives we have planned as part of the social work. Celebrating Christmas with tribal people!
During the festive season on 22.12.2021 God’s Love Ministries went as a team and met the tribal people living in Erukkuvai, Ezhuchipuram, Sooravari Kandigai villages in Tiruvalluvar district. [It was a joined effort between God’s Love Ministries and Nesam Educational and Social Welfare Trust]. These tribal people who are dependent on the forest and mountain region for their livelihood are mainly wood cutters, rabbit/snake hunters, and participants of the100-day rural employment guarantee scheme sponsored by the Tamil Nadu government. Around these villages there are no proper medical or transport facilities. They must walk at least 10km to get essential commodities.
Bro.T.Stephen shared the good news of the birth of Christ with them. We provided clothes, rice, 18 essential groceries, shared a love feast of biryani with the 500 odd families and prayed a blessing over the people gathered there. We thank everyone who gave and prayed for this service (Psalm 103:1,2). May God remember you and abundantly bless your household according to the below verse:
“He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.” (Proverbs 19:17).
Flood relief
Due to the heavy rains in the month of November, many lost their livelihood. God’s Love Ministries partnered with Nesam Educational and Social Welfare Trust to reach out to the Irular community in Tiruvalluvar district and distributed essential commodities by the grace of God.
