My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today, is from the book of Job 1:21, “The Lord Gave And the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the lord.”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that God who gives us all that we have also
has the right to take away from us. There was no picture grandeur and
more touching than that of Job, who was very wealthy and happy during his
earlier days, rich, joyful, with all his children around him. He lived in much
honour and dignity and walked upright before God. Then came the dramatic completeness and
suddenness of his great trials. One day he was suddenly stripped of all that he
possessed. Though Job lost everything he did not sin nor charge God with
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Job felt that God had taken away what
belonged to Him. He did not murmur against God or complain about his loss. May
be He blessed the Lord for giving him life. Job was a spiritual man, who
trusted God. He was a prayerful man, who kept his seven sons and three
daughters, covered by prayer and supplication. He was a wise man who had been
blessed by God in many ways. And he was a pillar of spiritual piety among his
peers. But Job was unaware of the spiritual battle that was
raging in heavenly places. Although he
knew God as Creator, and worshipped him with reverent fear.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, Multiple disasters befell the stricken man,
including the death of his ten children, and the loss of his entire material
assets. His many possessions and dearly loved offspring were all snatched away from
Job in one day but this godly man did not curse the Lord despite, the broken
hearted grief. Job tore his mantle, in
anguish of hearts, shaved his head, as a sign of mourning and inner turmoil and
fell on the ground in order to worship the Lord. He said, “Naked
I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and
the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Satan thought that Job would
curse God. But Job recognised that everything he had was a gift from the Lord.
And acknowledged that God retains the right to remove it. God is equally justified in permitting evil
to overtake his servant as well as good.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Job’s response to his tragic loss
demonstrates a truly extraordinary man. With a truly remarkable faith in God.
He reacted to his woes with worship. And to his devastating losses with
reverence and humility of heart. Job did not curse as satan had supposed.
Despite his ongoing problems and pain he retained his faith in the Lord which honoured
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, May the Lord help you also to reiterate the
words that came from the mouth of Job and the sentiment that ruled his heart,
even when we do not, know or understand why difficulties and disasters strew
our pathway. May we be prepared to cry
like Job, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I
shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the
name of the Lord.” God bless you.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this
blessed day. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the amazing lessons we can learn
from your servant Job. Lord we thank you for the many blessings you have
graciously given us throughout our life. Teach us to realize, that all that we
have is from You. And whether we are rich or poor, whether we have much or
little, Whether we are rejoicing or in
mourning, May we rejoice in the goodness
always whether You give or take away,
In Jesus name we pray.
May you flourish
Dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 11:1, “A shoot shall come out from the stump of Jesse and a branch shall grow out of his roots”. Jesse is the father of King David. Jesus was born in the genealogy of King David.
God says that nobody can take away the blessings that He gives to you and your children. Those who are against you and your children might say that they will take away the blessings that you receive; but the Lord says that He is going to bless you with blessings that no one can take away from you. He is going to bless you with a permanent income, permanent job and a permanent life that no one can take away from you.
The book of Hosea 14:5 says, “I will be like the dew to Israel; He shall grow like the lily, And lengthen his roots like Lebanon”. The Lord will make you and your children to stand firm like the roots of Lebanon. He will plant you in the land and no one shall harm you. You shall be a blessing in the land that the Lord places you in. When a decision is to be made, pray and ask the will of God. Only when you do in accordance to the will of the Lord, you will be able to succeed.
For this, you need to have a steady mind. A steady mind is very important for a person. You or your children might have been in a dilemma in various situations. As a result, you might have had to face a lot of failures in life. Do not be dismayed my dearly beloved, the Lord says that He is going to bless you with a steady mind. He will lead you and your children according to His will. Henceforth, you shall take steady decisions. God will bless you with a steady mind, income, business and even a good life. All you have to do is to obey to the voice of the Lord and you will be blessed in your land.
God bless you.
Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord, I pray that You may give Your children the steady mind to take wise decisions. Teach them to learn to ask Your will in all that they do. Father, may they receive success for the works of their hands. Guide them in the way they should go and may they flourish in the land that You bless them. In Jesus name we pray,
Prosper and Be in Health
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of 3 John 1:2 “Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”
My dear Brothers and Sisters, from the above context we understand that it is the prayer of St John for the Elder, Gaius and it includes three particulars, namely health of body, health of soul, and prosperity in secular affairs. These three things are necessary to the comfort of life. God expects that we prosper or succeed in all temporal affairs. In the business, in our career, in our marital relationship, whatever it may be, success of this sort depends upon the blessing of God, which makes one rich, it is to be wished and prayed for all such blessings.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, God wants to bless us with good health that is of body. One has to be physically fit. For above all things, above all outward mercies, the most desirable is our good health, for without this the richest of dainties, the largest possessions, or the best of friends mean nothing to us or will be of no greater significance. Hence God prefers that we live with a healthy body free from sickness or diseases.
My dear Brothers and Sisters, To enjoy all the above goodness of God in the land of the living, One has to seek God with all of his mind soul, and spirit. For the soul is diseased with sin, and needs to be in good health. When all the sins and iniquities of a person is forgiven then he is said, to prosper. One must have a spiritual thirst for the gospel, the sincere milk of the word. He should feed upon it, and be nourished by it. He grows thereby and when it is in the lively exercise of faith, hope, and love, and when spiritual knowledge is increased or it grows in grace, and in the knowledge of Christ Jesus, and when the inward man is renewed day by day, with fresh strength, and when it enjoys communion with God, it becomes fruitful in every good work.
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, just as St John prayed for the Elder Gaius, to be blessed with good health, sound spiritual life, I too sincerely desire that God bless everyone who reads this message, with good health, sound spiritual life and secular prosperity. May God bless you to draw closer to Him, and thus inherit, the blessings of God, for the blessings of the Lord makes one rich and does not cause sorrow. The Lord will not allow the soul of the righteous to famish. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you. Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be upon you and your descendants.
Prayer: Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. We thank You Lord, for Your good thought towards us. You want us to be blessed physically, spiritually, and with all secular blessing. Lord help us to worship you and obtain all the blessings from you. Teach us to pray for other fellowmen to receive all the blessings you have prepared for them.
