God of Truth

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Habakkuk. 2:3, “The Lord has kept a vision, for an appointed time; it will speak at the end. It will not lie. Though it tarries wait for it. Because it will surely come. It will not tarry.”

My dear brothers and sisters, the Lord who promised is faithful. He is a God of truth. God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man that He should repent. The Bible speaks of Joseph, who had a vision at a very early age. He was his parent’s favourite child, because he never lied, nor did he do any wrong. Therefore his parents had an unconditional love for him. Seeing his good nature, the Lord gave him a vision, at the age of seventeen. Joseph had a vision, and he told his brothers. He said, “There we were binding sheaves in the field. Then suddenly his sheaf arose and also stood upright. And your (brothers) sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.” The second dream was that, “The Sun, Moon, and the eleven Stars bowed down to me.” He knew the interpretation of his dreams. All this indicated that one day Joseph would be elevated above all the members of his family. And they would bow before him. He had the grace to understand dreams. When his brothers heard this, they all became jealous of him. As a result he had to go through great affliction because of his brothers. Through it all, he knew that the ONE who gave him the vision was truthful.

For over thirteen years he faced problems after problems; but he never lost his hope in God. There in Egypt Joseph worked under Potiphar. He became furious when he heard his wife’s story about how Joseph had treated her. So he took Joseph and threw him into the prison for no fault of his. When he was thirty years of age, his vision came to pass. There was a famine in the land of Canaan. And so the sons of Jacob came to Egypt in search of food. Joseph being the governor of Egypt supplied them with food and grains. All his brothers bowed before him. They meant evil for him but God made him a blessing. Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I am in the place of God.” Joseph took good care of his father Jacob in his old age and his brothers also. Thus God exalted Joseph because he was truthful. God honoured him in that strange land.

My dear Brothers and Sisters, God wants to honour you also. But he expects you to be honest and truthful to Him. Trust in God just as Joseph trusted him. Even during times of affliction Joseph never grumbled against God. He knew that the one who gave him the vision was able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Never lose your hope in God. You will not only receive the blessing of God but you shall see the glory of God.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord we thank you for revealing to us the goodness of Joseph. Teach us also to be like him. To endure affliction patiently and to wait upon the Lord for the fulfilment of the vision in our life. May we be obedient to our parents like him. Help us to obtain blessing and be elevated in our life like Joseph. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.

God who promised is faithful

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope, without wavering. For He who promised is faithful”.

My dear Brothers and Sisters, The Bible Says, For He is faithful that promised. It says, that all the promises of God in Him are yes and in Him Amen to the glory of God. And all the promises of God shall be made good to us if we continue steadfast in Him. We see that during the times when Jesus lived on this earth the Apostles had great hope of eternal life. They had an undoubted right to hope for the heavenly inheritance. The way and means by which Christians enjoy such privileges is by the blood of Jesus, by the merit of that blood, which he offered up as an atoning sacrifice. The son Of God was wounded and bruised for our sins. Believers are to consider how they can be of service to each other especially stirring up each other to the more vigorous, and abundant exercise of love and practice of good works.

My dearly Beloved Brothers and sisters, God is going to give you new opportunities this month for you and your children. Our God is impartial. He who promised is truthful. I have tasted and enjoyed the truthfulness of God in my life. My eyes were flooded with tears, when I looked back at the roads I travelled and looking at the fulfilment of every word that the Lord gave to me all through my life. Just as God fulfilled his promise to me in my life, God will surely fulfil his promises to you if only you revere His name. Then the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in its wings. And you shall go out, and grow fat like stall fed calves. Balaam said, to the people of Israel, “I have received a command from heaven to bless you.”

Hence the blessings with which he blessed the people of Israel came to pass. The appropriate words that God gives to His children are like the apples of gold, kept in the silver plates. You must have trust in your life. You should trust your parents who begot you. Husband need to trust his wife. In return a wife must trust her husband. Parents must trust their Children. Only then you will find harmony and peace in your life and your family. A man without trust will be like the paper that is swept away by the wind, Similarly your life also will soon vanish away and you will not know where it is gone. We must have trust in life. There is trust worthy in Lord Jesus Christ, who can give us trust. He will take care of all your difficulties. God will never throw you into the sea, and watch you drown. Instead He will throw you into the sea so that you will swim back, become strong and you will achieve greater things in life. Because of this you will face several problems. And that will be the time when you will see the Lord lift you up your hand. He will cause His face to shine on you. He will be merciful to you and deliver you from all your problems. He will show you His marvellous kindness. For in His presence there is fullness of joy. And at His right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

God Bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Thank you Lord for teaching us to trust one another. We rejoice in God because He has blessed us with all heavenly blessings. We do realize that problems come in our life, in order that You will reveal your greatness to us and help us to become strong in life. May we speak the right words and encourage others. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

Daniel’s Commitment

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Daniel 1:8, “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the King’s delicacies nor with the wine which he drank.”

Daniel was a noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem. He was taken into captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Daniel and his friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abed Nego, were brought to serve in the King’s palace. The King granted for them a daily provision of his royal food and wine which he drank and training was given for them that they might serve before the King. But Daniel refused to eat of the King’s delicacies and the wine that was offered to him. He made a commitment in his heart that he will not defile himself with the royal food. Daniel and his companions proved to be ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. Therefore after their training, they entered the service of King Nebuchadnezzar.

Although Daniel was a captive in the land of Babylon, he was not ashamed of his relationship with his God. God blessed Daniel with wisdom to reveal the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar. So he found favor in the sight of the King. Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face and prostrated before Daniel. Because Daniel made a commitment for God, he was honored by the King himself. He admitted that Daniel’s God was the true God, since he revealed the secret of his dream. Daniel was made ruler over the whole province of Babylon. Thus God exalted Daniel.

Dear brothers and sisters, have you taken a stand for the Lord? Or have you compromised with the things of this world? The Bible says “The Lord has set apart for Himself, him who is godly.” Are you set apart for God? Today if you make a commitment to God and obey the precepts of God and walk in the ways of God, then you will do well in your life and prolong your days in the land which you possess. Though Daniel lived in a strange land and culture that was not his own yet he proved unique among all the people of his times because of his faithful service to the Lord. Therefore God made him sit in the King’s palaces.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father we thank you for this blessed day. Lord you reward those who diligently seek You. Help us to be committed to God like Daniel. Never to compromise with the things of the world. May we remain zealous for God. In Jesus name we pray,
Amen.

God the Giver

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The blessed word that God has given for you today is from the book of Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters, the above verse refers to the prayer of Paul, on behalf of the Christians of Ephesus. This prayer is focused on the natural appeal for spiritual strength from God in particular. Paul asks God to help the Ephfesians exhibit a faith which goes beyond knowledge. No matter how bold our requests may seem, God can do all we ask and much more. In fact God can do more than what men would ask for, as He did for King Solomon. He asked for wisdom and knowledge but “God blessed him with riches and wealth and honour, such as none of the kings have had who have been before him nor shall any after him.” This is how the Lord blessed Solomon. In a similar way the Bible says, that God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times that you may abound in every good work. God’s means, for accomplishing more than we can imagine comes through His strength. His work is done by the Holy Spirit’s power within us, rather than by our human strength.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, every one faces trials and tribulation in their life. Some are unable to handle their problems. At times they go to the extent of ending their lives. They fail to ask God for His guidance. They forget that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Therefore they fail to achieve their goal in life. They are unable to know the value of the power of God. They FG fail to seek God’s mercy. And so they suffer from even small problems that arises in their life. They are not able to withstand the difficulties or challenges that confronts them.

God wants us to totally depend or rely on Him. He wants us to communicate with Him and have relationship with Him so that we can call Him Abba Father, and ask him to help us in our helpless state. He is a loving Father. A God of compassion and mercy. We are His rightful inheritance therefore we have every right to ask help from Him. May we acknowledge Him as our helper, for He provides from His goodness for the poor. Those who seek God’s heart shall live. For the Lord hears the poor. And the Lord has not forsaken those who seek Him.

God bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day. Lord You are a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Give us the knowledge to understand, Your goodness. Help us to realize the magnanimity of God. And behave wisely and carefully. May we learn to seek God, and find Him. No good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly. Fill us with Your Hoy Spirit to inherit the power to attain Your blessing. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.

Persistent in Prayer

My  Dear  Brothers and Sisters, I greet and bless everyone in the name of Jesus  Christ our Lord.  The blessed  word  that God has  given  for  you  today  is  from the book of  Hosea 12:4, “Yes He wrestled with the angel and prevailed.  He wept and sought His favour. He found him at Bethel. And there He spoke with us”

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,  From the above context we come to understand   that Jacob had power over the Angel who represented the invisible Jehovah.  Jacob was  left in a tight corner situation.  He was left alone.  So he wept over  his situation and made supplication to God. He entreated  with   tears  that  God should bless him and he prevailed. Jacob found God in Bethel. It was there that God made those glorious promises to Jacob, relative to his posterity. Bethel was the meeting place of God and Jacob. It was there that God spoke to him directly.  Jacob Prayed with tears from a sense of his own unworthiness and with earnestness for the mercy he desired. Jacobs wrestling with the angel was not only a physical conflict but a spiritual one. He cried with earnest supplication and prayers. And strove not  for victory but for a blessing, The extraordinary conflict between Jacob and the Angel was so excellent which shows that Jacob had  come into imminent danger of his life therefore he exerted his bodily strength to defend his life. Jacob called the name of the place “’Peniel ” saying “For I  have  seen God face to face  and yet my life has been delivered.”

Jacob was obedient to his parents. So they blessed him and sent him to his uncle Laban’s  place  as he feared that his brother Easu, would kill  him for cheating his father Isaac and taking all the blessings that was due to him. Since he obeyed his parents God blessed him. God blessed Jacob many times more than his uncle Laban.

My dear Brothers and Sisters if you obey the Lord God then He will bless you too. God expects reverence and submission to God.  Jacob humbled   himself   before God as he was left alone and he had no one to help him in that situation.  So he wrestled with God until the angel touched his hip socket and Jacobs’s hip was  put out of joint as he wrestled with him till  day break.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Learn to be like Jacob who said “Lord I will not let you go until you bless me.”And because he persisted he prevailed. The bible says, “The violent take by force.” If you need an answer to your prayers then you need to pray until you have achieved your request. May God help you to be honest and faithful to God with implicit obedience and humbleness of heart. There was no more room for ego or selfishness. He admitted that he was “Jacob” So God called him “Israel” and changed his entire course of life.

May God change your life too and bless you.

Prayer:

Our loving heavenly Father, we thank You for this blessed day.  We thank you Lord because you are prepared to meet an ordinary man to change his course of life. Teach us to humble ourselves before You Lord, and confess our sins. Make us to pray until we receive our request. Cause us to learn from Jacob how to achieve success or victory in our life and be blessed like Jacob. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
