RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD - Bro. T. Stephen

Dearly Beloved in Christ, I greet and bless you in the name of our Creator, Maker, and ever unforgettable Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed word that the Lord   has given for you today is from the book of Isaiah 55:8,9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts. Neither are your ways, my ways. Says, the Lord for as the heavens are higher than the earth,   so  are my ways.”

Too often we try to imagine that God must do what we expect.  Too frequently we create in our minds an unreal God, made in our own image and likeness, instead of realising that we are made in His image and likeness and that He is the eternal God and universal Creator, whose works and ways are beyond our limited understanding.  And that we are temporal creatures. Man is indeed unique in God’s entire creation and although we are made in His image and likeness yet, because Adam the first man sinned, our entire race should have been eternally separated from God. But in His amazing grace He sent His Son Jesus Christ to become sin for us so that by believing in Him, we might be forgiven and made the righteousness of God in Him.

It is so easy to be overwhelmed by despair, and fear in the world today due to sin, war, disease, and death. Because all these find a way to steal our hopes, and cause us to doubt, that there is a   hope for a good future for us. But by the power of the Holy Spirit, you should be   able to look forward, with joy to reach God’s destiny   for your life. We see  how Naaman obeyed the words of the prophet Elisha, and dipped  himself seven times, in the river Jordan, and  immediately his leprosy was  restored and his flesh was like that of a little child. Just believe like Naaman,   that God has a plan and purpose for you in your life. For all the promises of God in Him are yes and in Him, Amen to the glory of God, through us. For Promises are given to quicken and encourage us in our prayer life.

Therefore, how vitally important, it is to remember Who God is and who we are. It is necessary to understand that God is omniscient and is perfect in all that He plans.   And so God  reminds us  through the above verse  that  in every area of life, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your  ways  My  ways. ” declares the LORD. The Bible says, many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.  Let us   hence   realize that His plans and purposes are perfect.  And although our hopes may be disappointed, our plans may fail and our expectation may be frustrated, believe that God has a higher purpose to which He is working, and as His children, we are a part of His eternal plan. Let us never forget that His thoughts and plans and ways and His works are all working together for good – to those that are the called according to His purpose.

Prayer:  Our loving heavenly Father, we thank   You   for this blessed day. Dear Lord, forgive us our   pride in trying to guess   wrongly what You are doing and planning for us.  Help us to accept the plans and purposes you have for us, in our life.  Thank You Lord  for the perfect plan, which you have  made for all Your children. Teach us to look at the Cross, and may Your will be done in our life.

 In Jesus Name We Pray

Amen.
